I am so sick, I feel like a dying little orphan boy with the weakest cough looking up at his mother and asking if he’ll be able to frolick with his 13 siblings in the springtime again. The only thing I’ve eaten since Wednesday is one singular pickle, I’ve been asleep most of the time, and I can barely swallow medicine.

The longest I’ve been able to stay awake in a row is 2-3 hours(I think) and that’s only been to watch Starlight Express so I can have a year long streak of watching it everyday. My dreams are filled with thoughts of the beach that makes you old, those stupid(/affectionately) voice effects on older Starlight Express components, and Gardetto’s original snack mix.

I can barely keep my eyes on a screen anymore, I have to LISTEN to my YouTube videos. What has this world come to? I can’t doomscroll without putting my phone down in 2 minutes because I’m “feeling bad”. What is this? It’s laughable, my ailment is ruining my chronically online mentality. What if I miss some corny joke that lasts for 2 days?

Good and bad news: My monitor fucked up during my vacation, it's a hardware issue on the lower half. Extra annoying cause i've only had this monitor for two years; but either way, the bad news is it makes it insufferable to draw. Can't say i'll truly return to work with this monitor, i'll have to get a new one before i go back to work for sure.. The good news is i still have plenty of time to get a new one before my vacation ends! I already have some commissioners reserved for when i get back to work, so i'm pretty sure i got it handled. However, i did save almost all my money for this vacation, so it does suck to be having to bank on those funds. I've been having a lot of fun after all! ya'll wouldnt even believe lmao. maybe i'll post pics sometime. Either way. So at the end of Classics class today we watched a few minutes of the OG black and white The Mummy film because we had time and part of our reading for the upcoming weekend is an ancient text that it was inspired by (idk what, I haven’t looked at the reading list yet but I’m sure I’ll have something to say about it later don’t worry) and the experience consisted mostly of me and the rest of the handful of upperclassmen from the history and classics departments that signed up for the course (and one auditor in his 70s who’s just there for fun) absolutely shrieking at the screen because this moron was putting his bare, unwashed hands on a very ancient stone tablet and his skin juices might damage the artifact. And also there was a mummy or whatever, but mostly the tablet.
